When you’re living in the Los Angeles area, it’s not uncommon to bump into a celebrity every now and again. We know better than anyone else that celebrities are real people, too. So it shouldn’t surprise any of us that they go through the same teeth troubles that us common folk have to deal with.
Here are some of our favorite celebrities that have had to get braces:
Dakota Fanning
When she rose to fame in the movie I Am Sam, she was just 7 years old. Since then, we’ve seen her in hits like the Twilight Saga and The Runaways.
Her smile has transformed over the years, and she proudly wore her braces for two years. Now, she gets to show off a beautiful smile.
Emma Watson
It wasn’t magic that straightened Hermione’s teeth. It was an orthodontist! In the series, Hermione’s parents are both excellent dentists and in real life, she also had a great orthodontist realign her teeth. Between filming for the third and fourth Harry Potter movies, Emma Watson had braces for a few months when she was 15 years old. Like many of her costars who also had braces, her results were stunning (not that she wasn’t adorable before).
Ariel Winter
As one of the stars of the popular television show, Modern Family, Ariel Winter pretty much grew up on the show. Proving that even TV stars are regular people too, Winter wore her braces during the entire second season of the show!
Niall Horan
The former One Direction band member once had painfully crooked teeth. Nowadays, the solo artist gets to show off a beautiful set of perfect teeth!
And… voila! Just like that (after two years, of course) Niall Horan gets to show off a beautiful smile along with his incredible singing voice.
Brooklyn Beckham
For someone breaking into modeling and photography, it’s important to have a killer smile. Brooklyn Beckham, who’s parents are the famous Victoria and David Beckham, wore braces when he was 13 years old. Now, he gets to show off those straight teeth in British Vogue and GQ.
We know, we know. You can’t really see Brooklyn’s teeth in the second photo, but we can just tell that his teeth are straight.
Prince Harry
Even members of the royal family need braces! Prince Harry himself (and his brother, Prince William) both had braces when they were younger. If a real Prince can rock braces, then so can you!
